Missing Pieces

“Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage.” – Brené Brown Missing Pieces, my first short film, explores the quiet weight of grief through the figure of a boxer. In a society that often teaches men to suppress their emotions, strength is measured by restraint , this film seeks to challenge that notion. Partly inspired by the passing of my uncle, the story unfolds within the space of a gym, once associated with control and resilience, now echoing with memory and absence. Through intimate, restrained moments, grief is expressed not through words, but through movement and ritual. The film reflects on what grief represents internally , what we hold back, what we carry, and what we transform. It approaches vulnerability not as weakness, but as an essential and living part of who we are.
