Yaay
YAAY (means “mom” in Wolof) YAAY is a project very close to my heart. I’ve always filmed my mom through everyday moments and funny videos of us together. A few months ago, I started working on a series of short video portraits inspired by small moments and rituals that carry a strong emotional meaning for me. They’re only glimpses, but each one holds something I wanted to preserve and share, her, and the memories we carry together. This first video shows my mother singing a lullaby she used to sing to me when I was a child.
